6 Organization of the Board

The Board is composed of seven members. All members are appointed by the Governor, by and with the consent of the Senate, for seven-year staggered terms, which expire on the first day of June. The officers of the Board consist of a Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary.
Procedure
- To provide ample opportunity to serve and diversify management, the Board endeavors for each member to have the opportunity to serve as an officer over the course of their term. Each officer position will rotate among the board members every year. Officers of the Board are annually elected (70 O.S. 2001 § 3407.2 B) by majority vote at the April or May meeting of each year, assume office in June, and serve the fiscal year and/or until successors are elected by a majority vote of the Board.
- All vacancies in the offices of the Board are filled by election from current Board members at the next succeeding regular or special meeting of the Board and are for the unexpired term.
