28 Learning Management System

MSC uses Blackboard Learning Management System.  All faculty are required to use the LMS for all classes. Faculty are to utilize the system to the fullest. The following items must be posted on Blackboard for every course:

  1.  Course Shell – All faculty must use the MSC course shell uploaded to the LMS each semester.
  2.  Course Syllabus – Ensure the current course syllabus is maintained and updated under the appropriate shell heading.
  3. Instructor Contact Information – All instructors must include their MSC email address and a contact number. The chair’s phone number can be used if a number is not available.
  4. Grade Book – Faculty is required to use the Blackboard grade book for every course.  Grades should be recorded after submission according to program guidelines. If the program guidelines are not available, grades must be recorded within one week after the due date. The final grade book must include a total letter grade column that aligns with grades submitted in Aggies Online.   A downloaded copy of the Gradebook is saved as a CSV or Excel document. When submitting final grades ensure the downloaded copy is emailed to the chair.
