MSC acknowledges that faculty are a major part of the retention effort. Faculty are required to submit 4-week and Mid-term grades for all classes. Retention staff will use this information to contact students who are struggling. Faculty are encouraged to make contact with students in their classes who may be at risk of dropping out or failing. Faculty are required to request help for students who are struggling by submitting an early retention alert such as attendance, behavioral, transportation, and other personal issues. Early submissions allow retention specialists to make interventions.  Retention alert contributions can be made on Aggies Online.
