• Allows the site supervisor and the intern will work to discuss expectations and set goals to accomplish specific tasks related to the internship experience and should be addressed during the first few weeks of the internship experience

• Allows the student to familiarize themselves with the site’s emergency action plan, protocol for handling different emergencies, and maintenance of staff and patron safety paramount to the success of the intern

• Allows the intern to attend one staff meeting at internship site.  The intern will submit any documents that were handed out during the meeting as evidence of attendance to include the site supervisor’s signature.  If no information was provided during the meeting, the intern will submit a paragraph highlighting the key points addressed during the meeting (purpose, who was in attendance, discussion that occurred, and outcome of meeting).
