It’s your first essay assignment of the semester. Your professor says you not only have to find reliable sources, but that you have to use a variety of resources including books, magazines, newspapers, journal articles, and multimedia resources. There’s no explanation as to why they are requiring this, and you’re left scratching your head trying to figure out not just where to find these resources, but why using a variety of different sources matters.
