Student Grade Evaluation Policy and Procedure

Policy Statement (Board Approval Date: June 16, 2026)

Pursuant to 70 O.S. § 3252 (HB 3700, 2026), Student grades shall be evaluated solely on an academic basis. Academic evaluation may include, but is not limited to, attendance, demonstrated knowledge or understanding of course content, completion of assignments and assessments, and the student’s ability to meet the academic standards established for the course.

Grades must accurately reflect a student’s academic performance and progress in meeting the educational objectives of the course.

Student grades shall not be evaluated based on a student’s opinions, beliefs, viewpoints, or conduct unrelated to the academic requirements of the course.

Compliance

The College shall maintain and implement this policy in accordance with 70 O.S. § 3252 and shall provide verification of compliance to the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education as required by law.

Effective Date

This policy shall become effective for the 2026–2027 academic year and shall remain in effect unless amended or repealed. Every effort will be made to ensure that all programmatic policies related to this policy will be amended by December 31, 2026.
